This is a unique, hand made, one of a kind item created from found natural fibres and organic elements.
The driftwood is from a beach scavenge at Romney Marsh (Southern UK) and has been cleaned and dried for your pleasure. The denim is from upcycled clothing, manipulated to create 'choppy' waters and a sea foam effect.
The art of weaving is a mindful craft that grounds and engages you and I hope to convey that sensory delight when you feel my work. I wanted to make something wonderfully rustic that people would want to reach out and touch, as a kind of antidote to online living! Perhaps the materials and process will inspire you to create something to go with it?
