Artist in Residence. Croxley Green Library

Pop in and enjoy some textile art over the summer with me, as I spend time weaving at Croxley Library. Funded by Arts Council England, and Hertfordshire Library Service this pilot residency is the first in a series of artist residencies in libraries all over Hertfordshire County. You can expect to meet artists, see how they work, pick up new skills and be inspired. Artists will represent a variety of art forms, with the libraries offering free workshops to the public and closed groups by appointment. Keep an eye on your local library for more info!

There'll be an easy Ojos de Dios (God's Eyes) wool craft on offer daily.

Anyone can join in. If you make something you like, why not put it on the Library's display board as part of a big, Croxley community exhibition in September? (And did I mention it's good for those fine motor skills whilst helping you relax?)

I'll also be leaving an easy "weaving by numbers" to follow over the summer holidays, for a little bit of boredom busting craft. Just ask the library staff if I'm not in, and they'll be happy to give you a hand.

Coming up. Get in touch!

We are merely moving shadows, busy rushing around, storing up wealth for someone else to spend.
Psalm 39:6

What do we leave behind? Were we kind? Just? Fair?
Is our existence material? Or immaterial?
Have we chosen to rear and nurture young?

Do we serve a higher purpose? Or the instant gratification of our own?

This joint exhibition with artist Iza Nez is an exploration of musings, materials and debris, contemplating our own experiences of motherhood, climate change and the importance of natural law.
