This is a unique, hand made, one of a kind item created from lovingly picked natural fibres and upcycled yarns.
The driftwood is from a beach scavenge at Romney Marsh (Southern UK) and has been cleaned and dried for your pleasure. The natural fleece was gifted to me by an older textile artist, keen to pass on the knowledge of weaving and a shared love of all things textile. (And Sheep!)
The art of weaving is a mindful craft that grounds and engages you and I hope to convey that sensory delight when you feel my work. I wanted to make something wonderfully rustic that people would want to reach out and touch, as a kind of antidote to online living! Perhaps the materials and process will inspire you to create something to go with it?
